About Us

Home > About Us

We were born from the Wild Coast

Conservation Exposure Education & Training (CEET) was founded in 2020, emerging from years of grassroots conservation work in the Eastern Cape.
Fuelled by the desire to address environmental degradation, limited youth employment, and declining rural livelihoods, CEET founding members aim to  connect:

  • Ecological Regeneration
  • Community Empowerment
  • Science-Based Practical Solutions
  • Indigenous Knowledge Systems

Vision

A resilient South African landscape where nature thrives, communities are empowered, and ecological knowledge guides a sustainable future.

Mission

CEET is dedicated to equipping communities with skills and solutions for resilient rangelands, healthy water systems, and ecological sustainability.

Meet the Board

CEET’s Leadership is guided by a small board made up of experienced professionals and land custodians of the Wildcoast. As a growing organisation, our founding members play a pivotal role in keeping to the vision and mission as the organisation deepens its impact.

Why We Do It

Rural communities face some of South Africa’s toughest ecological and economic challenges. Graduates return home to no meaningful opportunities. Projects operate in short cycles, with little capacity for long-term development.
We believe this can change.

CEET exists to build a future where rural people lead environmental stewardship — not just participate in it.

We blend technical ecological services with community-based development, creating real pathways for youth employment, farmer resilience, and ecosystem restoration.
